Steven Fry and Hugh Lawrie were superbly cast as Jeeves and WQorcester. I still believe this to be Steven Fry's best comedy work. As you say, we at least retain our flair for Sitcom. Happy viewing! Very humorous, very easing going. The series was shown on UK Vhannel 4, famous for such atrocities as Big Brother!!. It may be shown on your lesser known TV Networks. As I suggested to Suzanne, a google search for any TV excerpts would be a rewarding exercise. My experience of Irish Priests have turned out to be a tad intimidating. As a lad, my local priest, whom I assisted as an altar-boy, once caught me smoking, and clipped my ear with such ferocity that it bled. Father Ted on the other hand was a congenial, if slightly eccenrtic Priest. He wouldn't have hurt a fly. Being his altar assistant would have been serious fun. Thanks and best wishes. Paul

I appreciate your very kind words. Truly. I laughed with such vigour that I cried. The episode where he was obliged to remain a trailer drawn by a tractor with a milk churn that would detonate if his speed fell below 10 mph still has me in stitches at the mere thjought of this incident. And the rather 'bibulous' priest was masterly casting (How I wish I could afford to throw a bottle at the screen when Big Brother or East Enders come on!!).
