Theres A Love Song
Theres a love song Ive been writing, for a while, in pretty notes,
encased in staves of timelessness, a crimeless rhyme of hopes.
The verse is sung inside my mind, its yet to feel a page,
it springs upon me suddenly, bright tigers from a cage.
Months fly in whispered silences, the harmony sat square,
within the heartbeats of a soul, until I sense you there.
Then back it dreams, in conscious voice, sub-consciously aroused,
my mouth emitting lyrics, long before I hear the sound.
Each words a cry for only you, each syllable I sip,
unknowing what Im singing, til reality cracks whip.
And then like rabbits from a hat, it vapours into space,
as mistrals of the Ghetti plains, brush by and leave no trace.
And one days night, a chorus waits, to fill this empty gap,
you are that sweetened love songs warmth, laid breathless on my lap.
