As I walk along the seashore
curtains of seagulls take to flight
with a cacophony chorus
and a fan of brilliant white.
Their call fades in the distance
as the waves crash at my feet.
A salty mist anoints my skin
with kisses in the summer heat.
My footprints in the sand, behind,
have washed away into the sea
just like my cares, and now I stand
amid a sigh of gentle peace.
