Thanks for your very kind sentiments. Writing in rhyme and metre supports creative discipline. As to how much time you spend, is dictated by your muse. Some days you're on fire, other days you are 'blocked'. When the creative juices cease to flow, I find it better to take a rest. Poetry for me is very much a 'mood' activity. Your muse can either be stimulated by a pensive or ebulliant mood. Perhaps that's the beauty of poetry.

Your are more than welcome to send me a draft of your sonnet. It's very ambitious for a first attempt, so I take my hat off to you. Sonnets in their various forms have stood the test of time for over 500 years. They are enduring and still relevaent today. Good luck.
