I have seared mostly in vain
for that which seems vanished
with no promise to return again
Am I alone in my search
Do you too feel the gap
or perhaps you're a modernist
and think these comments crap
Where did the rhythm go
Do you know?

RB, your honesty is never in question, It is just the old lyric poet in me regretting the times now where other things are to the fore in poetry. Although I
have come to like some of them, some where inside of me, wishes I were writing during an earlier time

Nice piece. I think things change with time and new ideas replace the old sometimes for the better sometimes for the worse. As long as we cherish and hold
sacred what matters to us those things will always be alive. Even if time has left them behind or replaced them.

perhaps it went out the window
because it so longed to be free craving to allow it self to grow beyond the habitat of humanity |

Rage... I like that concept ... giving life to a phase that gives it self determination... interesting way to look at it.
note: your choice of text colour on the pink background made it very difficult for these old eyes lol\\ RG |

We got one foot on the platform, the other one on the train (House of The Rising Sun - perhaps familiar
to old folk like we are...). I've read somewhere that the age of Capricorn ended in 1997 (or so) and that we are now in between worlds until 1012 when the
age of Aquarius (Fifth Dimension - also familiar?) will start on winter solstice. With all the positive power our minds are capable of we should give the
impending era a good start. Being aware of the ugliness of reality (that is largely hidden to many) can make us more determined to pursuit the good. We were
part of a generation that messed up badly (voluntarily or protesting) and soon we will have a chance to be part of a group that helped an age dawn under a
favorable, more hopeful sign.

Rage, if we are here to learn so we can move on to another place, we need to stop being children and learn to raise them instead. and sometimes
"them" is us. The ages I think represent grades as in primary school... it is time for the human race to leave kindergarten and go on to grade 1.
keep on reasoning .. it is fun stuff |
